It’s fair to say that I generally review software that I actively use and Adium is no exception. So you can predict this review will recommend the use of Adium like most of my others. One of the things that really drains the battery on your laptop quickly is visiting a site that has embedded flash. Whether that’s adverts, content or just whizzy looking graphics. And why would you want your browser to run at 20% of available CPU even when it’s not the active application or you’re just reading the news?

Sequel Pro is a MySQL Database Management Application for Mac OSX 10.5 and 10.4. It’s released under the GPL Open Source License and is a very capable MySQL management app. I’ve used a number of these over the years and Sequel Pro is probably the best fit for the needs of most average MySQL administrators / users. It’s not hugely feature rich, but it does what it does very well.
