This review only relates to MacBook Pro machines which have dual display adapters fitted. I’m not entirely sure which set of MBPs that is, except that mine is one of those with a 9400M/9600GT fitted. For years I’ve done various things on it from time to time such as writing an email and then deciding I want to play Eve Online for a while (or WarZone 2100) and then finishing up and coming back to browsing the web. For many Mac OSX users there’s often occasions where you need to run some software or other that is only provided for under Microsoft Windows. The list of software for which that applies is thankfully getting smaller, but a couple of examples are paramount for me, as a web developer.

Internet Explorer 6/7/8 (though 6 doesn’t feature so often)
QuickBooks.

Open Terminal Here Script

Marc Liyanage has written a number of useful little apps and extensions for OSX, others of which will undoubtedly be reviewed here in due course. But for now we’re concentrating on the Open Terminal Here application, which adds a small icon to your Finder toolbar that looks thus;
